In order to use certisio, you need to grant access to certisio app to:
- the camera for the photo
- the audio for the video
- the location (with high accuracy)
Here are the settings to enable both GPS Location and High accuracy. Confer to the related smartphone generation to apply the following settings. To get the maximum of accuracy for the GPS location, you need to enable high accuracy. If you use French language, read the settings page in French

HOW GPS LOCATION WORKS ?
The GPS sensor receives signals from various satellites in the neighborhood. The physical obstacle represents a screen preventing the reception
The position calculations are made with a civilian precision available everywhere except when the US military degrades the precision or even the reception locally
Unfortunately the accuracy is not communicated by the satellites
The accuracy is in the order of ten meters and can go down to one meter or less.
To increase the accuracy, geo-referenced stations whose accurate position is known, improve the accuracy. They send the error to the satellites which is then passed on to the users in the area.
Satellites move and at each moment for the same position, the result of the calculation is different for the same smartphone and several shots.
It is advisable to keep only the significant decimals, in this case the 5th relative to the meter (1.1 meter)
Accuracy of GPS positions
5th decimal place : 1,1 meter
6th decimal place: 1.1 centimeters
PARAMETERS RELATED TO THE LOCATION AND GPS ACCURACY IN SMARTPHONES
There are many parameters that can influence the inaccuracy of the GPS position:
- The GPS receiver has captured at least 4 satellites with degraded accuracy, it takes a minimum 5 GPS without obstacles to get a good result
- The time between the start of the smartphone and the capture of 4 or more satellites is too short, ideally 5 or 6 (without obstacles)
- The quality and accuracy of the GPS sensor and its interface with the smartphone. Low cost smartphones have less accurate sensors
- The non-activation of the precise position”.
It is necessary to take several photos but also several certificates in different places, in short the quality, as the security, costs a little more expensive
It is necessary to turn on and activate the GPS location from the beginning of the day. Also launch certisio at the beginning of the day and not just before the need of taking a picture
